The framing work is mostly done. There's a small part near the front door that will have to wait until we get the roof watertight. The inspector came out today, but refused to sign off on the framing "because the electrical, plumbing, and mechanical (heating) isn't done yet."
Duh!
When we got the permits we made it clear none of that would be done until after the contractor finished framing. The stupid aspect of all this is that they won't let us put the siding on or the roof felt/shingles until it passes this inspection, because it would cover the nails. If those floors get wet again because of those idiots I'll scream!
The contractor is trying to get the inspector to at least sign off on a
nailing inspection so we can make the structure watertight. But this blows
the weekend, so no work until Monday. Meanwhile my stress level is much
lower, the weatherman is predicting a week of sunny weather.
