Day 7 (Wed., 5/13)
George is trying to finish picking up the debris. It's been raining
since yesterday, so the area is turning into mud. The tractor is
having a difficult time moving around.
Still no heat. The plumber "forgot" to come out yesterday, so the gas
company couldn't connect the meter. He came out and fixed his pipes
today, but the county
hasn't been out to inspect it yet. The low tonight is expected to
be near 40.
They found a bad infestation of carpenter ants in the section that
got torn down. Time to call a pest control comany.
So far the contractor has managed to take the bark off of
five trees. At this rate I won't have any shade left in my yard.
