Why do I do this to myself?

The contractor will demolish the old structure, excavate and set the foundation, and erect the shell with all the exterior doors and windows and the siding installed. Then I take over and get to do the electrical, plumbing, heating, drywall, painting, etc., etc...... The first part was scheduled to take a little over a week, since we were using preassembled wall segments that would reduce framing to about 1-1/2 days. Based on the progress I made on the playhouse I figure the second part will take about three years. :-(

Here are the plans for remodeling my house. Since these drawings were scanned we swapped bedroom 4 with the bathroom to put the bathroom plumbing directly over the washer/dryer in the utility area.
