(Almost) Live video from the remote cam
Enjoy the view, currently along the back part of the house.
The image will try to update every two seconds.
This image is from an X-10 camera somewhere in the house.
Currently the image source is an old Sony 8mm camcorder I
picked up for $20.
The image is transmitted over a 2.4Ghz link to a receiver
directly connected to the Web server. The data is
captured by a cheap Bt879 video capture card (I think
it's a FlyVideo98, whatever that is) roughly once a second.
This is either the view towards back of the house, or through
the living room/dining room/kitchen towards the family room.
If I'm using my laptop the wireless LAN card tends to
interfere with the X-10 transmitter, so there's often a lot
of static.
